Yavapai Ballet Theatre’s Adopt‑A‑Dancer program ensures that every young dancer—regardless of financial circumstance—has access to high‑quality training, performance opportunities, and the full YBT experience. Donations are made through YBT and applied to the Adopt‑A‑Dancer fund, and all contributions are fully tax‑deductible.
The program provides full or partial assistance for essential training costs, including tuition, pointe shoes, dancewear, class fees, and masterclasses or workshops. Awards are based on demonstrated financial need, not artistic criteria, and applications are reviewed confidentially by YBT’s senior leadership.
Families complete a short financial aid application as part of annual casting contracts. Dancers accepted into the program commit to upholding YBT’s code of conduct and maintaining excellent attendance in both their home studios and YBT events.
Supporters may make a one‑time gift or set up recurring monthly contributions. Sponsors may be matched with a dancer by YBT or may request to support a specific student; YBT facilitates these connections while honoring donor intent. Multiple sponsors may support the same dancer when needed.

All previous benefits plus private admittance to a dress rehearsal and a photo meet‑and‑greet with the sponsored dancer.
