On Christmas Eve, young Clara receives a Nutcracker doll at her family’s lively holiday party. That night, she is swept into a dream where the Nutcracker comes to life, battles the Mouse King, and transforms into a Prince. He guides her through a shimmering forest of snow to the Kingdom of Sweets, where the Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes them with a series of enchanting dances. As dawn approaches, the magical world fades, leaving Clara with the wonder of her extraordinary adventure.
Yavapai Ballet Theatre brings this beloved story to life with a full, vibrant set; glittering, hand‑crafted costumes; and a cast of dancers drawn from across our region. Every moment onstage is shaped through genuine collaboration- local artists, designers, teachers, and young dancers working side by side to create a holiday tradition the whole community can share. Through this collective artistry, YBT brings the magic of Christmas to Northern Arizona, offering audiences a sparkling, heartfelt celebration of imagination, beauty, and togetherness.
