Linda Sosangelis

Costume Director

Linda Sosangelis is a fine artist and costume designer with over fifty years of experience in the visual and performing arts. Her enduring interest in detailed realism and oriental exoticism began as an student at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She bases her work on a return to classical standards that demand mastery of composition, perspective, color, three‑dimensional form, draftsmanship, and anatomy.

In the tradition of the Old Masters, she strives to imbue reality with a sense of richness—an opulence—that lends each piece heightened grace and elegance. Across art forms, Linda aspires to transcribe the world into something rarefied, a realm in which beauty and harmony reign.

Her work has been featured in several prestigious Philadelphia institutions, including the Twenty-Two Gallery and the Philadelphia Sketch Club, America’s oldest club for artists. Since moving to Arizona, she has continued to expand her artistic presence through large solo shows featuring classical western art.

Alongside her fine art career, Linda is an accomplished costume designer specializing in historical reproduction and theater. With thirty years of costuming experience, she brings her meticulous, detail‑oriented sense of opulence into the world of ballet, enriching each production with authenticity, elegance, and a painter’s eye for visual storytelling.
