Silas Hall

Rehearsal Director

Silas began his dance training at the University of Kansas at eighteen, earning a BA in Acting Performance with a Minor in Dance. His studies included Ballet, Modern, Environmental, Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre Dance, laying the foundation for a multidisciplinary artistic career. After graduating, he moved to Denver, CO, where he continued his training with Colorado Ballet before joining APEX Contemporary Dance as an apprentice. He later danced with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance’s second company, where he deepened his work in Dunham, Horton, and West African dance techniques.

Silas continued his classical training in Boulder, CO, working with Boulder Ballet and dedicating a year to focused development before attending the PILOBOLUS Summer Workshop Series in Connecticut. He then relocated to New York City to pursue additional performance opportunities. He later returned to Denver, where he expanded his work in arts education and founded a youth theatre nonprofit, leading the organization for nearly five years and developing programming that supported young performers.

Following several collaborative theatre projects in Prescott, AZ, Silas chose to make the region his home. He resumed his classical ballet training with the Margot Fonteyn Academy of Ballet and has since become an active contributor to the local performing arts community. In his three years in Prescott, Silas has been creatively involved in more than 30 theatrical productions, contributing as an actor, director, writer, fight and dance choreographer, music composer, lighting designer, sound designer, set designer, and stage manager.

At Yavapai Ballet Theatre, Silas serves as Rehearsal Director, responsible for supporting the Artistic Director by leading rehearsals, coaching dancers, and ensuring choreography is taught, maintained, and performed with clarity and consistency. In addition to his rehearsal leadership, Silas teaches ballet curricular workshops in bringing his multidisciplinary background directly into the studio. He is also an active dancer and offers coaching for dancers seeking individualized technical and artistic development.
